PHOTOS: Benue holds mass burial for those killed by herdsmen

Thousands of Benue residents gathered at the IBB Square in Makurdi, the state capital on Thursday to witness the burial of victims of herdsmen killings. Tears flowed freely as people placed curses on the killers. An official told newsmen that the remains of the victims would be buried at Adeke village in Makurdi. The Reporter of this story counted 61 coffins but a source said 74 graves had been dug as of 12 midday. Here are some pictures:

ABUJA— SENATORS could not hide their anger, yesterday, following the massive killings and wanton destruction of property in some parts of the country. They again questioned the commitment of the executive arm of government to the protection of lives of Nigerians and accused President Muhammadu Buhari of appointing wrong people into his cabinet.
