PHOTOS: Benue holds mass burial for those killed by herdsmen

Thousands of Benue residents gathered at the IBB Square in Makurdi, the state capital on Thursday to witness the burial of victims of herdsmen killings. Tears flowed freely as people placed curses on the killers. An official told newsmen that the remains of the victims would be buried at Adeke village in Makurdi. The Reporter of this story counted 61 coffins but a source said 74 graves had been dug as of 12 midday. Here are some pictures:

President Muhammadu Buhari’s kinsman, Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim Daura, has called on him to resign from the office of Petroleum Minister and concentrate on his duty as the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
